Get an estimate for re-upholstery before you make a decision on buying it. The settee itself is not worth much.

This is a project...probably not an investment...definitely not comfortable..unlikely sturdy enough for use...but cute for sure...just depends on if you have room for things you won’t use much...and a need for more things to polish and maintain....

Also if it is really cheap....probably nobody else wanted it...

What a darling piece. It would probably cost several hundred dollars to rehab it depending on fabric you choose. Make sure you have a nice spot for it. It is a different size than current day furniture.

If it is still well glued it should be sturdy enough for everyday use.

Here is similar piece that has been remuddled. Yours is so pretty and it would be perfect in entry. It looks very art nouveau. Quite a find. Grab it if you can get for under $200

Looks like it will be perfect for that use...looks like some spring repair underneath and new upholstery work.. if you are handy probably a DIY is possible...but I would keep it more original ...the painted ones with cheerful fabric always look weird to me...

I so agree....It's oak under that dark stain....please con't "cutsie" it up.

IMO, the color of the old faded upholstery that is on it now really compliments the dark wood. Would you call that rose pink, or coral?
