House is Craftsman? During the era pale grey, coffee with cream, beige, even a buff yellow would look wonderful.

The floor that is in the picture is what was under the carpet. It is a craftsman style home all throughout. I love all the original woodwork. I am going to leave the bathroom as is. Thank you for your help!

Yeah, I bet that's not the original floor. I'd investigate further. There could be something much more interesting underneath. As for your walls, go with a cool colour. Cool colours really compliment wood tones. If you don't want to go with blue, perhaps go with a cool grey or cool white.

Do those tiles run into the closet? That's the place to check for another floor underneath. What color do you want to see at the bottom of the stairs? What is working with the foyer/living area? Unless you want to open a "paint it all" can of worms, you may want to stay with those colors.

It's a bit more mossy in real life and not as yellow-y (but not darker) than on a monitor.

I wouldn’t go too dark with the wall color. A darker room may be more authentic (Victorian holdover), but we’re 100 years later.

I agree that the floor under the parquet might be worth investigating.

I am taking the chair rail off and painting the wall all one color. I’ve narrowed it down to five that I like. I am ripping up the tile. There is wood underneath!

On my monitor, tagsale linen looks very peach/pink and Stony Path has a blue or green tinge to it. (What brand of paint are these? I'm not familiar with those colour names.) After evaluating these chips throughout a day or two in your light, get a sample can of your favourites and paint large-ish canvases or poster boards you can tape to the wall. Alternatively, Samplize has peel and stick paint samples made with real paint.
