Identify insect eating my plants

This bug has been eating my basil plants, rose bushes, fig leaves, and now it is on the Lacecap Hydrangea. It eats the leaves until there's nothing left. It looks like a cross between a tick and a stink bug. The attached pictures show it on a flower from the Hydrangea.


Does anyone know what it is?
