I looked at Mirage and many other brands. Went with Hallmark, Alta Vista, Laguna. It's a beautiful wide plank French white oak flooring. We have been in the house for just over a year now. Two cats, three dogs, two grandchildren. No problems anywhere. I do have a lot of rugs in the house, but this flooring is in the kitchen, hallway to garage, five bedrooms and foyer stairway and landings. I read a LOT of reviews on every flooring manufacturer with a wide plank French white oak, and some reviews for Hallmark Flooring discusses spotting (food, oil, grease, water) but we have not had any issues. The problems seem to be with the darker flooring. I was worried about variation, so our local flooring store ordered a box so we could see and it was fine. We have about 3K sf in hardwood and it was expensive.

Ania Aman , we use a name brand finish over our wide plank White Oak floors. Its low gloss and looks like oil but its really poly so its a LOT more durable and easier to clean without all the maintenance that comes with an oil finished floor. @Allison0704 I know this is an old post but do you still love your Hallmark floors? Could you share a picture of them please?

I have now lived with hard wax oil floors for 14 months and have not experienced any extra maintenance with the oil floors compared to previously owned floors with poly finishes.

I used DuChateau, Riverstone collection, color Sava.

7.5" wide, a nice mix of plank lengths and 4 mm wear layer.

No issues with 3 dogs (2 large, 1 small) and their nails, drooling and occasional vomiting from the small old dog. Very happy with the floors.

@K C We moved two years ago. When rugs were removed, color change was faint but obvious. New owners were going to sand and reseal.
