Looking for feedback on Countertop selection

Hello,

Recently did a DYI kitchen reno and looking for feedback on a new countertop. Attached photos has my cabinet doors and laid on my kitchen floor. The samples are some of the tops I like and I'm deciding on. Welcome any feedback on going somewhere completely difference as well. I will be going laminate as granite/stone is simply not in my budget.

Argento Romano Formica
Urban Concrete Belanger
Andino White Formica
White Cascade Wilsonart

With your tiled floors keep it light and simple!:)

I would select the color chips on the bottom row, is it the Andino White? The back ground seems creamier than the Argento Romano.

I would stick to warmer white since you have no white in your space the ones on the bottom row but I find those pretty busy have you checked out just a one color instead with that floor .

on my screen, and I calibrate my monitor, the Andino White Formica seems to have some pinkish flecks? depending on the colors in your room and adjoining, you may or may not want to go with that. Because of your kitchen floor pattern, I would choose a counter that isn't busy. Maybe one of the from the bottom, 3rd row up just below the large sample?

I like the second one from the top to pick up your floor color.

Thank you for the feedback so far. I’ve just taken another photo might be better to see them. Anyone who posted have additional thoughts?

    Do you have this sample?

The middle one is still the best of the choices; just be sure that it doesn't lean more "purple" than shown, as it would be cooler than the floor or cabinets already there.

Can you put that next to the cabinets..or is it in the last image?

This includes the urban concrete on the far right. I Originally crossed that off since it got least votes on my poll.

Hard to tell colors on my monitor but the Urban Concrete seems to go great with the flooring

My vote is the Urban Concrete as well. In your original picture, the top and bottom are too busy with your floors, and the third one is too light and cool-toned.

Looks like it might have pink in it:( ok

what is your trim color throughout the house? Is it white or the ivory like the cabinets?

The walls in the kitchen are benjamin moore collingwood. I've thought about the butcher block but it seems like people are one of the spectrum or other. Love it or hate. I will be selling this house in the next couple of years so wanted something would maybe appeal more to the masses.

I honestly think Formica is least fav for new home buyers...can’t go wrong with wood...

What paint color is the cabinets..hard to tell but it looks warm..more like a ivory?

    They are Ikea Grimslov off-white

I think the poll may have confused some people because the poll options were not listed in the order the options appeared on your photo. I voted urban concrete, and your more recent picture confirmed for me that the other options are too cool next to your more creamy cabinets. Argento Romano would be my second choice.

Ok so BM Paper Mache is almost a perfect match to the ikea cabinets...your collingwood is a gray..the floors are brown...I think wood is your best option....

I agree that wood is the best option here. Both aesthetically and for re-sale down the road.

Stone will not be that much more especially if you can use prefab.

If the cabinets really do have that much of a green undertone as I'm seeing on my screen, I'm not loving any of your choices I'd take a door with me to a stone yard and see about a level 1 granite which might surprise you as being the same price as the laminate.

Hi Paul. I know this is thread is almost a year old, but curious to what you decided. We are building and we have white cabinets, island is BM Sparrow. Our island is butcher block (purchased in slabs from Home Depot and put together which was much more affordable than custom). The rest of the countertops will be laminate. Had it in our previous home for over 10 years and LOVED it. We also have Collingwood walls.
