I am, or was, about to buy a Miele Convection Oven and Miele Speed Oven. At the showroom, I noticed that when the oven is on, it blows air out the gap between the top of the door and the bottom of the control panel. The air blows straight out and I can even feel it if I am turned around facing the opposite counter 40" away. I understand that this air is to cool the door or the electronics--it is not heated air from inside the oven.

I looked at Gaggenau, and they vent the air directly at the top or bottom of the door (not out the gap between the door and control panel), which is beveled or angled and therefore directs the air up or down, not straight out.

Has anyone noticed and lived with this issue with Miele ovens?
