Bathroom Paint Suggestions?

Once we have the drywall repaired, it’ll be time to paint. We have decided not to renovate this bathroom, so we will be leaving cabinets, granite countertop, and tile as-is. The bathroom will be getting a new door and window trim.

Looking at whites and pale greys, open to suggestions (must be neutral). The rest of the house is BM chantilly lace. The brown and beige are killing me :(

Also, should we do two vanity mirrors, or one large mirror across both? (Poll included)

Make the two mirrors either unframed or with very plain white frames rather than ornate ones.

There is what appears to be a small amount of really pale gray in the countertop. Might choose that for most of your walls. If the tub surround is made of a different material that can be painted, use a slightly darker gray for those walls.

If you're painting the cabinets, paint them the same white as your window trim.

@suezbell the tub/shower has tiles surrounding it so I don't think we will paint them. Any colour suggestions in particular for paint?

@cpartist No, it's not my favourite colour. Just one of the options I was thinking would work with all the beige tile and brown cabinets/granite.

I may paint the walls Glacier White by Benjamin Moore (photo example below). Would this work?

A light blue/green/gray looks great with these brown tones and gets you out of the beige zone.

Personally I would put two separate mirrors and paint it a nice blue gray color. It'll look great with the warmth of the wood and the countertop. Plus you have that nice big window there so it won't look too dark.

    Any specific paint colour suggestions?

What is your favorite color and then I can make suggestions of either BM colors or SW colors to try but to do something you don't love, isn't worth the effort. Everyone seems to be afraid of color but that's exactly what will make it sing.

My favourite paint colour is probably just white. My favourite colour to wear is black. I’m not much for blues, greens, etc. I did lookup some bluish grays - Boothbay Gray is nice but I’m worried it’s too blue for this space.

You remind me of my girlfriend who only wears black, white, gray, beiges and browns and her house reflects her color sense. It is her. If Boothbay is too blue then you really need to go more towards a greige/white type of color.

Now if you really want to be completely daring and as long as you have lots of lighting, you could do a color like Kendall Charcoal HC 166! Dramatic and bold.

I would add two mirrors with sconces between. I know that's a lot of lighting but I always prefer more than less. Not a necessity for the sconces, I just like them. Paint color in the light grey family would look good I think!

@cpartist yep, my wardrobe is 90% black and 5% white and 5% other colours! Thanks for your suggestions, I’ll have a look!!

@Brooke Strong - do you mean add sconces in addition to the overhead vanity lighting? We actually removed the previous sconces because I prefer overhead lighting for doing makeup etc., though I absolutely LOVE sconces. I just had to be practical here. We’ve spent a small fortune on electricians/lighting in the rest of the house so I think we are just leaving it at overhead vanity lights in this bathroom.

My cabinets are a similar color and our bathroom is painted SW Wool Skein. It's a nice neutral IMO. Our master bedroom is SW Relaxed Khaki which is I believe on the same color strip as Wool Skein.

@chocolatebunny123 thanks for your suggestions, I'm actually wanting to get away from beige.

    Better you use this color:

    • Copper. ...
    • Magenta. ...
    • Powder Blue. ...
    • Pretty Plum. ...
    • Neon Yellow. ...
    • Cherry Red.
