I find there is more functional space going through a classic 2 door entry than a modern pivot style... although the Pivot is more stunning for a modern contemporary look. I would like to hear is anyone has had any trouble with the pivot door system.

I think if it's an ultra modern, huge home, and you have unlimited funds to drop on the pivot, AND it's not used multiple times a day, AND it works w/the style of your house, I'd say yes.

Otherwise, I think it's a bit over the top. The double door looks better. And there are so many types of beautiful double doors that you can have made that would look better than the pivot. (if money is no object)

What Flo said. Also look at how it looks from your exterior as well. How does your landscaping frame your house? What does it look like with the two different doors? Just food for thought!

I think this is a tough question to answer in the absence of a front facade photo and an interior entry photo. Or if this is in reference to a new build, we'd need to see the proposed elevations. You need a lot of height to pull off a pivot door, i.e. more than 10' IMO, and preferably 12' or more.

arober, I should have clarified the cons a bit better. the pivots are fine but are best suited to more modern homes. the pivot doors can not be sealed or weatherstripped like a tradtional door, and they can warp over time. the more you use it, the more chances you have for pinching your fingers, especially little ones. otherwise, they're fine!
