Help with navigating in the Rose Forum

This Rose Forum presents the most recently updated discussions in descending order when" Latest" (the default option) is selected. I can get to Page 2 ( or any other page, through page 9) of Latest

with a single click, at bottom of page 1.

""Featured", "Popular" and "Unanswered" are also options.

How can I navigate from page 1 of Popular, Featured or Unanswered to subsequent pages of each (as I can in Latest)?

As Houzz is encouraging me to also post this in Bromeliad Exchange and Cleaning Tips, I will do this. Bad houzz.

I'm curious to see what "Related discussions" Houzz presents next to this discussion.

..it works for me... in all of those ..whether Featured.. Popular or Unanswered... right at the bottom I get the page options like this except in boxes..

    Thank you, Malorena!

I should mention that I get the same page options as you do, when I go (for instance) to Unanswered.

But when I then click on “2” (for example), up pops Page 2 of Latest (rather than Page 2 of Unanswered).

Unlike your experience, as I infer from your reply - Page 2 of Unanswered would successfully appear for you.

aah ok.. I see what you mean.. and you're quite correct, it doesn't... it reverts to Latest when accessing page 2 of any of those options...

...effectively then, you cannot see any 'unanswered' posts beyond page 1....

...just add it to the many other spanners in the works that occur here...

Members of the Cleaning tips and Bromeliad exchange forums have been of no help here whatsoever. So far, at least.

Marlorena: I misspelled your name above - sorry.

    The navigation previously worked fine.

It began acting up within the last few months.

It was through old Featured discussions that I found excellent comments by posters like harryshoe, and jont1 (who I later came to believe was the great HMF rose reviewer John Moody).

    Sad it’s no longer working.

Though I’m comforted by the belief that Houzz gremlins are working on the matter as I post this.

...I think it's quite comical that your thread ended up in Cleaning Tips... sometimes they go in Laundry Room too for some reason... I can't figure it out, it must be something one says that gets scanned by the system...

...I just looked up Monkey Wrench - I had not heard of that before... but yes it's the same meaning... it's quite interesting to find idioms that differ from country to country in English..

..I'm afraid I don't know those people you mention... before my time I think... anyway, hope the issue gets sorted at some point for you...

They were before my time (here, and reading HMF) too. I know of them only because their posts live on. I seem to remember reading somewhere that John Moody died. Was there a sighting of harryshoe here relatively recently?

Idioms: many years ago, I was working with a young woman from Myanmar. One day I told here I needed to “eyeball the guy in 334 before we go down to look at his films”. She followed me in to his room, watching quizzically. A minute later, while walking down the stairs, she suddenly stopped and asked “Please; why did you need to look at his eyeball?” When I explained what I had meant, she replied “Oh; this is an idiom, yes?” I remember thinking maybe 10 percent of the residents of the medium sized NJ city we were in knew the meaning of “idiom”. And I know not one word of Burmese.

Rifis , I can’t help you but at one time you could go back an infinite number of pages it seems . I miss that ! I would randomly click on page numbers and get so see so many amazing threads and photos. Great way to pass winter . Now I’m not sure if this is still possible on a desktop but not on my phone.

I do recall harryshoe posting sometime this year. his photos were always so nice!

    Good point, Lilyfinch.

Even in Latest, the one functioning heading, Houzz now severely limits how far back in time one can go with a single click. Your phone; my tablet and laptop.

We assume website developer idiocy. But I wonder if it’s not purposefully obstructionist behavior to further a Houzz business strategy.
