You should put a table where all the keys/junk/ purses goes and a clock and/or mirror would create that wanted entry feel. Towards looking into your kitchen, i personally would take down the posts and just have a half wall to create definite rooms/spaces. If you want to tear the wall down, i'd create a large island that runs parallel with the wall on the left side of the far windows. Also the natural light I'm seeing makes it seem like you'd want to open it up to let all the areas have natural light. Hope this helps!
