In looking into the specs, the countertop is actually 72" and will slight overhang from the base cabinet, which has a width of 70". So the drawers will not be hitting the walls due to the overhang of the countertop. I hope this clears things up! However, I don't believe that this model no. includes the countertop--I suppose that the fact that they do also manufacture a matching countertop is the reason for the measurement discrepancy. I will be doing a custom install and having our own granite countertop fabricated. In any case, I have planned to add a 1/2" filler piece between the wall material and the cabinet to give some wiggle room. Thx!
