Do you actually need a lamp at all I would leave the lamp off

Thanks for your comment! The only reason we considered a lamp was to light a dark corner of the room. Maybe it’s not really necessary though. You’ve given me another way of looking at it! Thank you.

Would a floor lamp work?

Lamp is great for color and size. I tend to like things visually balanced so would probably put some picture frames or whatever you wanted to the right. If you wanted something in the middle I‘d try and stick with something low like you have there.

The pic right beside the lamp looks like it has similar colors so I’d use that on the right. Then to the outside of that picture I’d find a larger vertical picture. Maybe add a third one or something else to make a grouping of three. It’s always hard for me to be specific for these types of posts without actually moving stuff around. I’m visual!

I like the lamp. Slide it over a few more inches to the right, just overlapping the mirror. Then group just three of your four other items on the far right side of the dresser.

Do a switch with the side table lamp I see in the mirror. The skinnier lamp may look better on the dresser. Try the dresser lamp as a side table lamp.

I agree with Angel. The blue lamp would look nice next to the bed and a better size for that area.

You could keep it and display the pictures, etc., on a shelf on the wall so the top of the cabinet doesn't look so "busy".

Another idea might be to invest in a plant stand the same height as the cabinet and set your lamp on that so the cabinet will not look as crowded.

Another suggestion would be to "cluster" your three pictures together on the right hand side.

Groupings look better than "onsies". Decorate in odd numbers is another thing to remember.

I like the lamp, it looks good! yes to the grouping of frames off to the right. Agree with above poster that odd numbers works well with decor.
