Thanks for your question Carincw. Code regulations can vary depending on the area you are in. Hopefully whoever told you that a ladder wouldn't work in your space must be able to help you figure out another solution to the problem that compiles to the codes.

I love the loft idea as well and was very impressed with the detail of the unique garden decor style that they used in the room. The flowers and the lamps make it seem like a beach house loft.
