decor wise- I like your mirror, but it is floating there. I'd use it elsewhere - fancy powder room mirror - your guests will see it.

Foyer- I'd look for a decorative bench or chair, .....or a beautiful plant stand.....Blue and white looks beautiful when contrasted with yellow. Perhaps blue and white planter..or porcelain fishbowl as an umbrella stand? It will serve as an appetizer for the rest of your scheme. Is there a coat closet? If not, add some board and batten and install hooks for guest purses and jackets in that corner.

I'm not a pro but the mirror looks a bit big in that spot to me. If you keep it there, I would ask the pros here if it's hung too high...?

I agree with DK Haas' comment regarding it's floating there. For me, adding a table beneath it could make that space look really tight. Seems the table would need to be at least as wide as the mirror. If not, the mirror might look top heavy or overpowering.

You can go with lighter version of yellow or with the same color as in dining room, just lighter or darker

I think I'd swap that chinoiserie mirror with the one in the dining room, eliminating the top plate. It will work perfectly with all the Blue Willow. I'd really prefer art in the foyer. Maybe a floating shelf would work there; it looks pretty tight. I like foyers to hint at what's to be found in adjacent rooms, so try an Asian feeling. Keep the scale small (take up only 75% of the wall's width) and add some Asian accents; maybe pulling a bit of the dining room blue to the entry.

Painting the foyer a much lighter shade of the same blue color of your dining room would be worth considering.

If it will fit above the wainscoting, you could have the entry mirror replace the mirror and other items you already have on that one wall in the dining room. As is, that dining room wall is a bit "busy".

Is there an empty corner in your dining room not in your pics where you could add modern wall hung corner shelving for displaying your plates -- a solid wood version of this:

You’ve had a few suggestions to bring some of the DR blue into the foyer, but I’m going to suggest something different and suggest some more gold into DR with drapes. You did say you are happy with DR, but I think gold drapery would look lovely with decor in dining room.
