This is the Bradford Watermelon. A long lost variety that resurfaced. Really sweet. I picked this at what I thought would be the appropriate time for eating, hoping to get some viable seeds, and let a different one go on to over-ripe. But, many of the seeds in this one appear to have germinated while still inside the melon. If they'll germinate at this point, surely more of them would germinate if I left one on the vine a couple more weeks. anybody ever see this before? Is it commonplace? I never saw anything like this, in a live watermelon.
