It has no flowers on it, but thank you.

Carol’s ID is correct. The flowers only are there in spring and tend to be mowed off. The foliage has a distinct herbal scent when bruised.

It flowers in early spring. It is a big time spreader and will fill in a thin lawn, so get rid of it if you dont want it everywhere.

It could possibly be that, though I have never seen flowers on it. Most of it is less than four inches high off the ground.

I just yanked up a bunch of it, as it rained here tonight, and then I saw it much smaller all around there. I will saturate it tomorrow too and continue pulling it up, then pour ashes all over it.

Time to plant more grass, but in the meantime maybe put a tarp over it all so no other weeds take hold.

It was even growing under our grill!

At it’s highest height I saw, it still wasn’t a quite foot tall, but close.

Generally it creeps along the ground on a few inches tall. The flowers are small and inconspicuous unless there are a lot of them at once, then they look like purple specks in the lawn. Only when it is completely uncut for whole season and in ideal conditions will you see it get much taller than 6". It can also grow over other plants like a weak vine to reach a little higher.
