Could be a problem with one (or both) of the water inlet valve solenoids. A fault will trigger immediately upon connection to power if the control board doesn't read those valves as properly functional. The beeping will normally be continuous until power is disconnected ... so if you got beeping only the one time and none now then the control board may have gotten zapped. You could try opening the console (screws at the back corners, and remove the lid first so the panel can be lifted forward, and be careful of the wires from the button board in the panel to the control board down inside), disconnect the wires from the solenoids, connect the power to check if it beeps (it should).

Hi Dadoes! Appreciate the quick response. You helped me a couple of times a few years ago. Great to see that you're still active on here :-)

I opened up the control panel, checked the one fuse (glass case), i looked fine. I plugged the machine back in while the panel was still open to see i could where the tapping sounds was coming from and the machine started right up. So, I closed it all up and it's fine now :-) So, I'm not sure exactly what I did but just opening the control panel appears to have "fixed" it. I logged in here to delete my posting, didn't expect to have a response so quickly :-)

BTW, everyitme I plugged it in, it beeped (monotone) 8 times in quick succession.

The fuse is probably on the pump circuit. There wouldn't be a visible fuse on anything else. Has the pump been previously replaced? If so then the fuse may have been added at that point if it wasn't original (they weren't for many years).

Could been a loose connection. You might check again that all the various wire connectors are secure in the target sockets.
