Love bugs are really bad this year

I don't ever remember them this bad before. They land on everything. Plants, floors, hair, clothes. Their invasion reminds me of the 17-year cicada invasion when I lived in Cincinnati. But at least these guys are tiny.

Google says the season lasts about 4 weeks which means another 3 or so weeks. Argh!

I would think anyone who's been around a heavy invasion of love bugs finds them annoying. They must have some sort of gluey substance on their bodies! And what they do to your car if you drive through a swarm! Fortunately I haven't noticed very many this year around my place - I'd rather the dragonflies eat mosquitoes.

They make good food for the dragonflies here. Ive seen them being devoured. We have a ton of dragonflies this year.

Silent seed for the reasons Sonni gives, plus they fly in your face, cling to your clothes……

I haven't seen that many up here, but I'm in a heavily populated area, so maybe that's why. I haven't seen my dragonflies for the past few days either. Hope they aren't all gone.

Silent Seed they're disgusting. They fly into you mid air. Get stuck to your car. Swarm while you're outdoors.

Haven't seen any in Sarasota yet. I hate them! Disgusting!

Have seen tons of dragonflies this week. Maybe they are eating them.
