Good idea, moving the glasses. No, the plants are real. The center of the palm has not completely fanned open. :-)

I didn’t see any windows so I assumed it was fake-now I see the one in the foreground too-they look very healthy!

BFD was also on to something with the lamps and the height of the plant-raise it up on a stand if you can.

Your electrician should be able to easily get a longer pole and chain with which to hang the light.

Another option:

If you're wanting the light lowered only about six or eight inches, you could have a space on the ceiling approximately the size of the table beneath the light "lowered" -- add a box to it -- and hang the light from that lower point.

The light can and deserves to be fixed, hire an electrician and as stated above, do what it takes to have it hung properly. The rear wall would be perfect for some wall paper to add some drama and a focal point.

Thanks Lisa. I lowered the chandelier, and x'd the chair and the graveside flowers, next I will look for the bigger mirror, the right floral centerpiece, and wallpaper. I appreciate the feedback.

Take down the mirror that is there and remove the buffet lamps that you will probably never use. Only have one plant. Too much symmetry.

Better because the chandy reflects in the mirror, but I would prefer art. I would remove everything else from the walls and paint this room a navy blue Should make the gold stand out.
