Flexible wall color for inspiration piece

I'd like to use this quilt as an inspiration piece for redoing my small guest bedroom ~8x11 ft with some additional quirky recesses. We are about to install gunstock oak hardwood, and I have painted the trim a warm white. The room has 3 wide windows, two on the long wall, one on a short wall. I'd love some help choosing a paint color that both complements the quilt and can possibly transition as an appropriate color for a baby room down the road. Other than this quilt, the trim color, and the hardwood flooring, everything else decoration-wise is up in the air (we have a mattress and wooden glider but no other furniture - first house :-) and it's from 1860). Thank you for your input and suggestions!

I agree green would be a good choice. It's a nice gender-neutral color for a baby room, but would also appeal to grown-up guests.

Try and color match the light green that is in your quilt. Find the strip that it is on...and try some of those shades, perhaps a bit lighter than your quilt fabric, in your room. I think that a green or a sage green would look lovely in your room with warm white trim. And would transition well, as a neutral, to being a nursery! Good luck!

Take a look at Sherwin Williams Queen Anne Lilac. A friend has a bedroom painted that color and it’s so cozy. I think it would look nice with your quilt.

Thank you so much, I loved your suggestion of the Queen Anne Lilac after getting a sample. I just finished painting the room and we're just about finished replacing the floors with gunstock oak. Woo!
