I’ve got too much brick on interior of kitchen,

One whole wall of brick enclosing the cook to and microwave. Too pick and floor of brick makes it harder to create unity. Help! Paint the brick?

Tough to understand your question. Perhaps you could try again, and post an image?

You can absolutely paint brick (not the floor) but if it isn’t structural, wouldn’t you rather just pull it out?

    Drywall over some of it?

Sorry folks my mistake for posting late at night.… My kitchen has a red brick permanent floor as well as dining area. The “cooking wall” is also structural and made of reclaimed brick. Lots and lots of brick. I am re-servicing counters and backsplash. Need advice on whether to alter brick wall. I want to unify the kitchen. Will post photo. Thanks for your help!

The brick wall is the coolest thing to me

The problem is the rest doesn't reach its fabulousness so to say..and there are too many surfaces competing with it

to me, the first one to be redone would be also flooring-but I've no idea whether in your budget..?

For example not, and too much of an expensive hassle..I'd look for a rug. something serviceale, easy to take care of, not-easily-moveable..Can range from cool vinyl cloth to real thing wool..they're very whatever-withstanding..can be indoors-outdoors rug too.

The counters, you're addressing, Making them more unified in color. even though I'd be inclined to go with something more..natural, rustic? yet still homogenous in color..need to think. Soapstone for example..

Backsplash..well I'd think about it after having all my other elements considered, probably.

But really the last thing I'd think to change in your kitchen-is that brick wall.

I like your brick, but then my kitchen has a lot of brick as well. Keep the brick. Not to sure of that backsplash. Your granite looks very similar to mine. Best of luck to you.

Ok, agreed, you do have too much brick. I would Sheetrock over what you can, paint the rest, and leave the floor alone.
