@GN Builders L.L.C why do you say I don't need it? If I use a toaster or air-fryer wouldn't there be some odor. Granted it is not full fledged cooking but some kind of exhaust would be needed, I think. Lets say someone burns a toast. How do I ventilate the place?

You don’t need it. I burn popcorn all the time, smell dissipates within an hour or so.

If you have rising cooking plumes, a hood and fan assembly are optimal. If odor without heat is the issue, then an exhaust fan will eventually clear the room. If witch's brew is to be concocted in a few weeks, a fume hood is advised.
