Its hard to tell from your pics, but my first thought is maybe moving the bed to the area in front of the windows and putting the dresser where the bed is. I don't know if that will fit or work but the windows and curtains might frame the bed.

Dresser by window gives more room to open drawers based on photos. BTW, having the headboard higher than the window sill is not a design no-no, unless you need to open the windows. I noticed that the cranks would be behind the headboard making it difficult to open the left window.

I guess across from the bed is out of the question.

If you put your dresser between the windows...how will the drapes work? If you pull out the dresser so that the drapes pull behind it, then you won't be able to open the drawers.....I think on the wall by the bed would be best.

I'm with @Flo Mangan's opinion. I like the idea of not using the dresser and purchasing a chest that will fit exactly between those two windows. I am always seeing used chests for sale that can be upgraded, if you don't want to buy something new. Perhaps you can use your dresser in another room?

I agree and move it out far enough to allow the drapes to close or do roman shades on each window. BTW do not stagger the art and hang it lower.
