For some reason I can’t get the other part of the original image to post, it comes out as a pixelated mess. It had a blurb about how the name Whirlpool came from the machine that whirled the clothes around in a pool of water. I just never thought much about the name and found the image of what the early washers looked like made sense.

And it's not "Whirpool" it's Whirlpool

Wow have times changed, we complain about laundry now imagine if we had to deal with that thing, especially wearing all those clothes! Lol

Annette, Sorry if I offended you, I knew it was the advertising that had it spelled wrong, not you. I was just adding to Dadoes' point that not only that ad is not for a Whirlpool product, but they even spelled the name wrong.
