What's eating my tomato plants?

Never had a critter problem in previous years. I last looked at my plants the day before yesterday, and all seemed well. It rained most of the day yesterday, and this a.m. when I took a look I found that some critter/s had been chomping the leaves, mostly on new growth, leaving bare stems. I grow my tomatoes in large fabric pots which are raised well above the ground. Anyone have a clue what I'm dealing with? Thanks for any enlightenment.
