Where Did All the Posts Go???

What's happening to all the older posts? There's no more pages on the Hosta forum to click to. If anyone wants to update an older post, where are they? I can't find older Hosta alphabets, either. The search feature is not bringing up much of anything. Are they gone? Can anyone else see them?

The perennial forum has 2 pages available. Vegetable gardening has 1 page available.

Forums like the Canna forum have only one post left, that's it. It's not an active forum, but there are a lot more recent posts than the one left there.

Bulbs has 6 posts left. Herbs has 5 posts left. Miniature Roses only 1 post. Peony forum has 1 post. Iris forum has 1. What's going on?

I see what you mean! I was looking at older posts just yesterday! I hope it is not going to stay that way. That would be a real shame. Lots of good information in those older posts. I'd be really disappointed.

I started noticing it yesterday and it seems to have gotten worse today. I opened a post in "Using Houzz" HERE.

I hope it's only temporary. Or else, it's too much like facebook where you can't find anything when you're looking for it. I'll be really upset if the hosta alphabets are gone for good. It looks like whoever pared things down must like roses and cooking because they seem to have escaped the purge so far.

When I click that link tsugajunkie I get "page not found." Or was that the point?

I wonder if they did a purge or a server is down. Seems like houzz could post information on what is happening. It is a bit disheartening.

You may have to wait a day for that post to show up. Things posted in "Using Houzz" are screened. When I click the link it takes me to it, but I'm the original poster.

ETA- This is what my post in "Using Houzz" looks like:

Looks like posts are disappearing everywhere. Examples below. What
has happened? Some forums lost all, some are down to a single page of
    posts.

Google: "Hosta A Houzz" and you should see previous years of the alphabet for the letter A. Have to google separately for each letter but at least they still can be found.

I tried googling the hosta alphabet and found some. I also tried googling other hosta topics with some success.

Possibly, Houzz has been hacked or something? Just checked the Hosta forum and the page had fully downloaded as normal and with the ability to click on previous pages ... but, then, POOF and back to a blank page. Sure hope this all gets rectified, Houzz STILL remains an excellent forum!!

Lots of forums are empty now, and only a few posts in others.

I appreciate this gardening site and realize it's free, so I've rolled with a lot of the changes, haven't complained, I don't want to over-react, but this is making me sad. :-*(

Could it be they're working on it? Server down? Hacked? Something going on that will be fixed? .....Crossing my fingers.

I can see if they want to eliminate slower forums and combine some others, but it would be terrible to lose so much content.

Google is good except if you don't know exactly how the title was written it's hard to find topics that were here. I'll have to get better at searching and not rely on this site so much if this is a new change.

It is continuing because when I was here earlier Roses and Cooking had all their pages, and now they're cut down to fewer, too.

I just tried going back to a post from 2008 and it popped right up!

I just noticed this this morning. My activity pages are acting wonky, too -- some old posts there, some MIA. WTF?!?

    Hey there,

Thanks for reporting! This is a bug - good catch! We're investigating and are working on a fix.

It comes and goes. I just did a search on the Hydrangea Forum that found 10 posts. After I looked at 4 of them, when I went back to the list it said 0 topics found. Not out of the woods yet.

Wonderful! Coming back tonight things look back to normal. I hope it looks that way for everyone. I'm glad some people know who to contact to get things fixed. At least we know it wasn't an intentional change. What a relief.

This is a really great forum for lots of reasons, information being one of them, and I hope we all have it for a long time! I learn so much here, mostly in gardening, but I like the home side of it, too. Phew! It feels good to know GW/Houzz is still here and intact.

Yes- information is really important! if we can’t research, it’ll be SUCH a disappointment! That’s what brings us here in the first place.
