Floors in #1 are yours and you want to make some changes like in #2? I think it would look great.

No, the 2nd photo is a 3D what our kitchen is going to look like. We are trying to pick out floors and we bought a box just to see what it would look like in our space. Our kitchen with the new floor color is what’s laid out in #1.

At this point we are open to anything. We are going for the beachy modern look.

It will be a rustic floor. The kitchen design will be transitional with a push to modern. It will be light and airy...with PLENTY of knots. Lots and lots and lots of knots.

Is that an engineered hardwood or is it man-made like vinyl or laminate? If it is man made, those knots are going to tell you ALL ABOUT how many times the plank repeats. Just be aware of that.

Your kitchen will be quite contemporary and that floor is very rustic I would not mix those together that floor is a long way from beachy What are the floors in the rooms next to the kitchen those would be the best choice.

We are going to redoing the floors throughout and hopefully all the same. Definitely going for the transitional /beachy vibe as we live by the beach. @SJ, Thanks for pointing out the knots issue, that makes me rethink this as it is LVP. What color/type of wood would you recommend?

I love knots in real wood , but definitely not with LVP , look at Provenza Sweet Talker .

I would not want an LVP floor that had pretend knots it in.

Thanks for your input! You were all right about the knots. This 3D is a little exaggerated, but it helped me visualize that they are definitely something I'd be staring at everyday. On to the next option...Going to look at Sweet Talker or First Crush and maybe some engineered wood.
