My contractor showed up and told me his wallpaper guy no longer does wallpaper. The contractor took $300 off his original estimate. It's "just" a powder room. I thought I might do it, but loathe the though of it and know my experience in no way equals that of a professional. Guests are coming next weekend. I haven't found anyone on such short notice. I have the paper ready to go. Has 'paste the wall' wallpapering made things easier since I last wallpapered a bathroom in 2000? Am I crazy to think I can do it? The paper isn't shiny, has a design that looks textured. Is a $300 discount sufficient to cover the cost if I were to do it myself? I haven't even found anyone who can give me an estimate. I no longer trust myself to hire contractors. A few positive experiences with contractors made me over confident. There seems no good way to judge anyone despite recommendations etc...
