Corydalis solida questions : bloom time, ephemeral?

I just bought some corydalis solida bulbs (pink) while at a nursery getting tulips and more conventional bulbs. I have never seen them offered before. Also got Camassia esculenta which I have been wanting too.

I had always thought corydalis solida was a spring bloomer. Some years back at a plant swap I was given some growing and starting to decline. I planted it and then saw no more of it. I thought it just didn’t like the location I gave it. Then this year suddenly, I saw it again. Like it slept for a few years.

The odd thing is, it was blooming in the FALL. It’s over now but bloom time was September. I thought this was odd, but then, I don’t know this plant very well. It is the yellow variety.

Before I plant this new pink corydalis solida, I’d like to know :

When is the normal bloom time ?

IS the foliage ephemeral?

What moisture conditions does it prefer? I know where I’d LIKE to put it, under the hostas in a full shade bed, but can offer a few locations with a range of moisture. Where the yellow variety is now growing is consistently shady but is drier.

Thanks!
