i have a walk out basement so my rear windows are elevated observation posts. the last few mornings at dawn i've looked out & seen at least 50 robins out & about in the yard. when i look around the neighborhood they are everywhere. by 7 the count is down to the normal 4-6 birds. i'm curious as to what they are up to. it's a tad early for migrating. i think i posted on here about a day i was crossing a pasture heading towards a creek & a 2 acre bottom field was literally covered in robins. it was a one time observation. that was in 1969 & i haven't seen anything like it since.
