If your not going to take walls down just paint them wall color for now to let them fade away

Paint everything white, including walls.

Painting that brick is not going to help with the over all aesthetic. Is it real or faux? "Not ready to tear down walls" meaning you are thinking about it? Once you start removing that brick you might find you may as well do the job once all the way to what you hope it to be one day.

The “Tuscan look” in interiors was gone almost as soon as the paint dried.
I know you aren’t ready to tear down the walls, but you may be able to remove the brick and square off the door openings. I would not want the “windows” at all, and they can be closed up completely. It won’t be too expensive once you see the improvement in appearance. Is this the only area the previous owner went seriously Tuscan overboard?

The cheapest temporary fix I can think of: paint the bricks out to the same color as your walls. If your re-painting a light shade then you could also have a white wash (german smear) finish done to them.

If you plan to keep the openings then I’d recommend getting quotes to have the bricks removed & have them plastered to create a more modern appearing arch.
