I'm not sure why, but this was one of the most difficult decisions for us! At first we wanted Gray LP siding. Then we decided on a shade of brown. We then decided to switch to Hardie. We did a lot of asking around (our builder, building supply places etc). We thought we wanted Monterey taupe, but found a home nearby and realized it was too light. Then we came upon a home in our town that looked like Timber bark siding with Monterey Taupe on the shingled siding. We knocked on the owners door to confirm and we were right. That was enough to seal the deal for us. We also realized we had too many taupes on our street. And of course, we pinned colors here and Pinterest and went back and forth. Good luck!!
