the slanted camera.. setting the tree upright... MIGHT .... give us a false idea of reality ....

i agree with dave .... in tree time.. it will sort itself out ...

that said.. planting at the root flare ... or the equivalent ... i have planted them at an angle .... to get them more upright.. faster ... not that i insisted on plumb upright .... perhaps just cutting the angle a bit ... if you get my point ... [its easier to do this.. if you bare root them ...]

this isnt an easy plant ... i wish you luck with it ....

ps: i often wondered on stock like this... if the graft pot didnt fall over ... and it wasnt noticed for a long while ... it would surprise me.. if they used a piece of understock with that type of radical bend ....and if they did.. why didnt they just graft it lower .... so the bend would have gotten removed ... so many questions.. so little time ....
