ETA: Looking at it more — if you just did the side steps, I really don’t think it’d look strange from the front, because your kitchen door is facing the front. I think it’d look like the “front” door, and the other one like a side door. (Hope that makes sense.) And you could just have a nice flower bed there, with no path. But again, it depends on how your driveway is placed.

For resale value you will always want to have an easy access to the main, front (or 'formal') entry, regardless of how you access your home. And personally, I would not want visitors having to traipse through my kitchen the first thing on entering. That is not a very welcoming solution :-)

Yes, I think the formal entrance is where I’d put the steps. My reason would be so I could have a table or sitting area off the kitchen, like this:

From the plans, it’s the best spot for outdoor dining (if that’s something OP likes to do). :)
