We are moving into an existing home and I’m going to have the cabinets professionally painted for a more updated and classic transitional style. We’d prefer not to replace the white backsplash if we can pull off a nice look. I’m also going to paint the kitchen and family room walls a neutral shade (possibly Agreeable Gray), painting the doors and trim white, replacing the baseboards to a taller height (painting white as well), and updating fixtures. I’m seeking recommendations to help with decisions on the following:

1. I’m going with white cabinets but need to decide which shade considering the pure white backsplash. The white options are Ultra Pure White or Falling Snow (a warmer undertone)?
2. Keep the island cabinets the same color (white) as the others or consider two tone cabinets?
3. Suggestions for hardware finish?
4. Lighting fixture color/finish?
