How to pick a new front door

We recently put in a new driveway- exposed agragate and changed our exterior lighting to more modern LED look.We want to get a new Front door but unsure how to go about picking the right style to match with our house.We do want to have a door with more glass so that more natural light comes in.The country screen door is not remaining.Any ideas, advice appreciated.

Beautiful work on the driveway. Great house but as you realize, the scroll-trimmed screen door doesn't suit the style, which also means those scrolls on the garage don't either. So remove both. A blue or orange modern style front door with windows would fit the style of your house. Here's a good color.

If the color is too "out there" for you, then the same style door in a pale teal would look great. If there's any money left over, get a more modern light fixture out front which complements the very nice sconce you have by the garage.

While I'm spending your money, consider a more modern bistro set out front in a color that works with the new door. This is in blue:

I also like the idea of an orange door and more modern looking bistro set.The garden light is something my son has suggested as well so will be on the list for next year after I get the door figured out

What year was your house built? It has a midcentury vibe to it--long, low, streamlined, which is why the screen door, though lovely, doesn't look right. Do a Houzz search for "midcentury ranches" to get the hang of the style going forward. Your sconce works very well. You don't have to be a slave to that style, but look for streamlined features and landscaping.

My house was built in 2000.We bought it a year later and the same doors have been on since.They need an upgrade but we haven't had money to do things till now.I agree the screen door and cutouts around garage have to go just never realized till now.There used to be shutters beside the front window too but we removed them recently and I liked the effect.It has now dominoes from that point as I am seeing all the other things that need to change.Driverway was done this past summer and garage door last fall.Work in progress.
