The power supply can be hardwired no problem. Just cut off the plug and use those wires. People order without the power supply to add to ones they already have. They link to each other. You can buy a whole kitchen setup by getting one with power and dimmer and the rest without. The dimmer plugs between the power supply and the first light. It comes with a wireless RF remote.

Cool, you can jump that distance by splicing in your own wire or we do have 6ft extensions available at our site to just plug and play for the whole system.
