We had a woodstove put into our fireplace. For the safety codes we had to remove the mantel and surrounding wood and it left a huge exposed wall of blocks, bricks and cement. We have a mason putting brick on the unfinished section and he couldn't match the old bricks. My question is I want to paint all the bricks white and love that look. Should I go with a glossy white? Satin white? I figure the woodstove will put dirt onto the bricks and I want it easy to wash or vacuum.
