Help is needed !!

We are looking to do some renovations to our kitchen and need some help on what we should do. We're interested in getting brown (Samsung) appliances because it's different from the typical. Not sure what to do with the flooring, counter top and cabinet colors. We're leaning towards white marble or quartz w/brown veins for the counter top but definitely open to suggestions !

If you are open to suggestions, I suggest you not get “brown Samsung appliances”. What Samsung calls “Tuscan stainless steel”. This is a painted finish which will scratch. In addition, it’s a fad color, as you said “different from the typical”. Therefore the color will be phased out in 5 years or so. Then, when you need to replace one of your appliances, you won’t be able to match it. Get real stainless steel appliances. It won’t go out of style, if won’t add a bunch of light-eating dark doors, and you can match it in the future, and you can match it with other brands. You really should not buy all one brand of appliances unless the price of the package is what you must do.

Do you have a floor plan of your kitchen that you can post? That would be helpful if you want suggestions for reconfiguring the space.

Are you gutting? If so, post and folks can help re-configure. If you are keeping the cabinets and layout as is, I'd recommend getting rid of the step up counter and make that just a flat peninsula. I vote Luxury Vinyl Planks that look like wood to warm up the space. Re: a trendy color for appliances. We bought a special colored Samsung washer and dryer and when we had to replace the washer, they no longer carried that color. Not such an issue to have mismatched in laundry but would be annoying in kitchen.

IMO any colored appliance is not a good choice except for maybe a really high colored gas range . Colors come and go with makers and when the time comes to replace one appliance I will bet you the color you have will no longer be available. IMO you can’t go wrong with plain old stainless . The rest we would need to know more about what your plan is and also some idea of budget. BTW I don’t even buy all my appliances for myself or clients from one maker you buy appliances for how you use them My first question for clients is what do you love about your kitchen and what would you like to be different. Answer that , post a to scale floor plan with measurements that we can read and a plan that can be enlarged .

Thank you all for the advice. You’re right about the appliances. We’re not gutting it, we’re keeping the same layout. we just want to give it more life and update

Marble counter tops have special stain/patina issues. Did you mean granite? I agree with the stainless appilance and one level island if the budget allows. A lighter counter and back splash will be nice. If you go fairly neutral, they provide a background for your decor items and don't limit choices. (BTW - angled photos are disorienting. Take shots with the camera level.)

First step here is the lighting. You can't select colors properly if the lighting is not up to par. LEDs at 4000K range will ensure that you're seeing color samples correctly in your space. So new ceiling fixtures to replace all the fans, and LED lighting under the upper cabinets are the way to begin your reno. Is the dark tile flooring throughout your home? As advised, stainless is the way to go. Leveling the bi-level peninsula and changing the counter top and backsplash material will do more for the space than trendy colored appliances.

decoenthusiaste - thank you !! The tiling isn't throughout the house, it's only in the kitchen area. We're definitely looking to add lighting under the top cabinets and those ceiling fan fixtures are getting thrown out first lol
