Do not put a washer and dryer in a clothes closet....too much moisture. If you have no space for a real laundry room, you are stuck with a stackable washer/dryer in a laundry closet. Put a wall where you show the w/d and use the space on the right for your laundry closet with a door into whatever that space is. Then you will still need a surface for folding clothes and towels and linens, and a place to hang things on hangers.
Go back to square one. Give us a measured drawing of that part of the house which includes your “laundry room”. I’m sure several of us can suggest realistic ideas.
