new paint and area rug...now what!?!

I would love some input on how to accessorize my foyer and staircase.

I have a console table that used to have a mirror above but the light switches in the middle made the mirror to high.
I’m running into a Difficulty with the light switches, small tight foyer and balancing the door with one sidelight?

Different ideas I have thought of...
Paint table pictured and add a large clock above the existing light stitches?

Move stitches to the left to where I put the yellow paper?

How do I balance only have one sidelight?
Long narrow artwork, tall floor plant?

Do I add a collage of family pictures going up the stairs (right side) or add something on the left open wall above the dining room header ledge type shelf thing.

I’d love any ideas. Thank you!!!

Kitchen table would look great black.

If keeping the drum shade make sure to do the clear glass pendants but you mentioned the drum shade has a black pole?

I didn’t order the chandelier yet. What a bummer. Since the chandelier is more of a solid piece, would it appear larger?

The kitchen drum shade trim is black but the pole is dark ORB.

If the kitchen table is black, does that mean I should paint the foyer table black or charcoal?

Yes that was my suggestion...foyer table black.

Hmm the finishes should be the same..I would return it for that reason..even if final sale they should because the finishes are not what was stated..that’s strange.

94” is way to long hmmm I would call customer service about it...

Oh I think it must be the chain length 72” plus the fixture height 22.50”

Thank you so much for the lighting suggestions. I’ll have to give it some thought.
I’m heading to the Florida Wednesday morning so I have been trying to organize my house and prepare for that. I can’t wait!!!
My dads doing a huge remodel in Florida so tons of decisions to make by his house. Stay tuned! ;)

My local lighting store said they would take back the crystorama capos shell chandelier if I didn’t like it for no additional fees. I decided to give it a try.
I wish it were bigger, however It does make a bigger impression in person than pictured. What do you think? Keep it?

Which should I choose? Should I use rings?

The silk drape is a rod pocket.

The chandelier has a silver leaf finish so it would match the rod I have pictured on the left.

I would return it..just too small.

The finish on the cabinet is brassy.

Yes silver finish and yes use rings..make sure to hang that rod high..just below the crown molding...what length are the drapes?

    9’ ceiling
    96” drape
Which silver rod do you like?
The rod on the left is only .75 diameter. All others are 1”

How does everyone feel about this duvet cover and lamps (style and size)?
Beginning stages of decorating bedroom. We will paint and add additional furniture in the future.

Do you prefer a capiz lamp or something with a touch more glam and white duvet?

Kim check out Madison Park bedding..so many great sets and different styles....high quality really nice for great prices...you get accent pillows and Shams..also most of the duvets come with the insert inside. Worth you taking a look...just google Madison Park...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><md>Thank you for the suggestion. The prices are very reasonable. Although I didn’t see anything that really caught my eye. I will continue to look. Would you suggest pattern or solid? Do you like the lamps I found or do you think I could do better? I’m guess with the suggestions of Madison park you don’t care for the duvet I have? Always appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

I just wanted to say thank you for suggesting that Madison Park for bedding. I have been on a quest, and it will likely take me forever, but they do have a great selection. From all my browsing over the past few months, I 'recognize" quite a few that I had liked. So now I have a new time suck so to speak:) Thanks @Home Interiors with Ease.

Do you like these pillows and picture? Is all the blue too predictable so therefore boring? I would like to eventually get new furniture and move the room around so I don’t want to spend a ton of money, but I know it’s going to be awhile.
I would love to hear your thoughts- I have a few weeks left to return the picture and/ or pillows.

It would probably help to add the pictures. Haha

Try art over mantle instead...very nice...would prefer a collection or set of prints above sofa.

I was thinking a grouping would help break up the big sofa but it has all the right colors and was only $100.
Unfortunately, the picture is too wide for over the fireplace. I might have a spot upstairs. I’ll send pictures when I get home.

Julie- I tried the picture upstairs and it’s too big. Do you think I Should keep the picture for over the couch or return it? I do like the colors with a small streak of brown/orange to tie in my kitchen cabinets (that I wish I could paint - side note haha).
I feel like there is something off. I’m not sure if it’s the picture or the pillows. Love to hear your suggestions. Thank you!

Maybe I could do something kind of like this for the time being?!?

Thanks Julie! Have a great day!!!

Again here is my very orangey kitchen cabinets. I will eventually add a backsplash and probably nickel hardware.
I have a pedestal kitchen table I plan on painting black. Do you think these chairs that just popped up on Facebook are a good fit or no?
