Own or rent? If you own, then plan to replace the vertical blinds with blackout drapes or roman shades. The TV is hung too high, IMO. Since all the seating reclines, you don't need a coffee table. You may enjoy "C" tables that can act as snack and laptop tables too. Can you light the cabinets with LEDs and install glass shelves for a cool display area? Maybe you can break up the monotony with wallpaper on the back wall of the openings. If rambunctious football parties will happen here, look into washable area rugs from www.ruggable.com. Lots of colors, styles and sizes there.

A large rug is a perfect place to introduce a color that you love, to liven the otherwise very neutral space. You have a lot of color choices, but avoid more dark brown. Then repeat a bit of that color in some patterned drapes or pillows. Look for a solid or fairly muted pattern since your tiles have pattern. Add a tall floor lamp to the corner for ambient lighting and height.
