I guess I would need to see the floor plan but there are many dressers console table etc that are less than 36: high to place there I would do 3 matching windows .

If you want your bed on the exterior wall, then use two windows spread far enough apart for the bed frame. If your bed is going on the wall facing the windows, it won't be centered in the room, or with the ceiling fan. Make sure that won't bother you. If you have room for the bed and nightstands on the bathroom wall, there isn't any reason not to have three windows for light. You still have room for a dresser on the other two walls, and wouldn't have room for anything in front of the windows anyway. I would figure out your furniture placement, and then decide on the windows. Either way, lose the transom window. You can't cover it effectively for room darkening when needed.

The window sills in my house are 31 inches off the floor. I've never had a problem with anything. As Patricia states above, there are many pieces of furniture that are 36 inches or less. If you want 3 windows in a row, then I'd do that. I'd just like to see them centered in the room. If you want your bed on that wall, I'd make sure 2 windows are far enough apart so the bed and draperies will fit nicely. I, too, dislike the transom.
