My kitchen isn't here yet, but 2 of my favorite features...ok 3...are going to be: wide aisles! a real hood vent! large windows!

I know some people will say some fancy appliance or some expensive feature, but one of my favorite things in my kitchen is a small TV I have on a shelf. I like watching it when I am waking up in the morning. When ever I'm in the kitchen the little TV is usually on, even if I ain't watching it. . I'm a kitchen sitter.

    Miele CSO, Carrara marble countertop.

Like function, I like my little tv, for the morning shows, evening news while we cook, something while cleaning up. And I like to sit at my kitchen table, facing the window that looks out over the front yard, while I read or do paperwork. I could see my kids coming home from school, DH from work, the UPS truck, the mailman, visitors, etc. I’ve had a few front-facing kitchens, and it’s my favorite feature.

My granite counters. They are perfect in every way.

    My SS exhaust hood.

    My rectangular single-bowl sink.

What I wish I had: a second oven.

My favorite thing is my kitchen table that sits in front of a big window overlooking the street.

I like that I can bring my iPad in and stream live TV while I’m in the kitchen. I also like the view of my yard and can keep an eye on what’s going on with kids and pets. They are not beautiful but I appreciate my washer and dryer in the kitchen for the convenience.

I love my coffee nook that also doubles as the bar when entertaining. It’s out of the work area, so guests can help themselves. In the morning, everything we need for coffee and toast is right there.

I like my 12 feet of uninterrupted counter space.

Runners up are my wall color and the lamp over my kitchen table.

I wish I had a dishwasher, a rangehood, and a sink in the same room as the range and refrigerator. My remodel is still in the planning stages...

I love my counter height bay window and my backpainted glass backsplash! Plus my fridge, stove, trash/recycling pullout, touchless faucet, pantry with roll outs. Pretty much everything!

In my kitchen in my primary house done in 2002, I love the views, large island and workspace, the different zone for different needs, the well thought out design which makes working there a pleasure and most of all, I feel like I am living in art. I have lots of display space and many art features built into functional aspects. In my beach house kitchen under renovation now, I am going to love the big island, well thought out design, different zones for different needs, the views, and art features. Wait, I think I see a pattern here.....

I'm also going to love the extra storage, the appliance garages, but going back to my best feature, most of all, the space to work in without feeling cramped.

My quartzite, my stained glass window, my induction cooktop and most importantly that the kitchen functions beautifully since everything is where it should be

I love my 6' window, that my prep area has plenty of room and my 7' baking area right next to my double ovens.

I can't believe I forgot my pantry! It's a walk in pantry and holds my 5 gal flour buckets.

Hopefully mine will be done soon and I think I currently love everything about it...quartzite tops and backsplashes, an island to gather and eat at, a tv, fireplace, a fridge covered by panels, perfect sight lines from my prep sink...double French doors to a side deck for grilling, dining and viewing wildlife.

My newly retired husband cleaning it. Handles, hood and even clock. I sure hope this lasts.

    My new microwave drawer.

Up until two weeks ago, my favorite thing was the functionality of my kitchen's new layout (thanks to info from the GW forum). It follows ice-water-stone-fire, with an extra stone-water-stone sequence at the end for cleanup. My second sink makes a world of difference for improving the workflow and allowing multiple cooks, and the counters in between allow for multiple prep spaces.

Two weeks ago, installation of the backsplash began. Now THAT is my favorite design feature. I could go on and on about how much I love it - even though it's only partially finished - but already it truly sparks joy.

My large walk-in pantry and my island.

@cpartist, we should have a thread for everyone's favorite thing about YOUR kitchen. lol. I love everything about your kitchen.

For me, I'd have to say the layout. My old kitchen was so bad, cut in two by an awkward peninsula. I really just love the fact that I can walk across my kitchen. It feels so much bigger even though we mostly kept the footprint (we removed a chimney).

As far as elements go, my favorite is probably my turquoise glass backsplash. I love how it looks with the UCLs turned on.

Oohh, I can't name one thing, nearly every single feature (other than it is still small) is an improvement over the before-remodel space.

Well located LED lighting is at the top of the list (the disc type since we couldn't put in ceiling cans)

An added second window, even though a small one, makes the room seem bigger.

Using a second color on the ceiling - it is just pretty.

    Frameless cabinets. With base drawers!!!!!

And my single basin 28" sink (it still feels so big!) in a 30" cabinet with pullout organizers. No more trash/recycling/compost sitting out!

Wish I had: drawer - in - drawer in my wide/deep silverware/utensil drawer. My only real design goof, should have had two shallower drawers or the drawer-in-drawer.

Love - the layout, the cabinets (and their configuration) with soft-self-close hinges and drawer glides, the wood floors, the granite, the low-divide 60/40 sink, the hidden walk-in pantry.

Wish - that we'd done a remote blower (or inline but in the attic with silencer) on the range hood (love the hood, just not the loudness, and we knew better.) We'll likely re-do it in a few years.

My favorite thing is my Galley sink. It’s the heart of the kitchen and incredibly versatile. I also like our wood circle countertop at the end of the island - it’s rich-looking and perfect for two for a quick breakfast, or to talk to the cook.

KG, I like the black circle counter. Unusual and cool. Not cookie cutter. I like you used stained wood cabinets.

KG, that is a super looking kitchen!

I am grateful to have a decent sized kitchen with functioning appliances. Many people in the world do not.

That said, I can't wait to have a better layout (ice-water-stone-fire-cleanup). Right now it is ice-fire ... stone ......... water. The idea of cabinets and countertops that aren't literally falling to pieces sounds luxurious too!

I love the fact that it really "works" whether it's just me in the kitchen or me and 3 helpers. With zones (and 4 walls!), we're never in the way of one another.

I guess it’s lots of windows and great water views. But most of all is the kitchen fireplace with its inglenook seating across from it. Great for cold days.

My touch faucet that turns on with a tap of my hand, my pantry that has a complete counter area to put all my appliances, outlets for charging in the drawers, my knife pullout drawer, and my cutting board that came with the sink.

Two dishwashers flanking an extra large single bowl sink. It's absolutely fantastic!

Well, my kitchen is an economy galley kitchen only 10’4” long. But I love the pulls for their comfort and ease of use and how they dressed up my cabinets. I’ve also added a wastebasket pullout to a cabinet and I have a range hood that vents to the outside!

I love the functional things that we changed in our "refresh" last year: a large single-bowl sink, wipeable tile backsplash, replacing light-sucking black appliances with light-reflective stainless, converting base cabinets to drawer bases with soft close slides, adding a light-reflective quartz countertop on the sink side & a warm cherry butcherblock countertop by the range, and replacing upper cabinets with open shelving for everyday dishes, Our kitchen had an existing seating area with built-in banquette, which we (and our cats) love, and use daily.
