Furniture can be painted, if you're up for a bit of DIY. (Chalk paint makes it quite easy.) I agree with J Williams, this room is not reading shabby chic to me either.

maybe try new lamps, bedding and pictures, those are the easiest to switch around

Thank you. I do think the lamps, colorful bedding and artwork change would make it less monochromatic. That is probably what make me think shabby chic. I love the bedding colors but fear the pattern could lean towards more country. What style/color of lamps would be best?

Paint the walls to match the drawer front color. If you like it you may want to paint the panels on the bed the same color. Should cozy up the space a lot. Change your lamps and art, add curtains or roman shades. Have a chair and luggage rack for guests, plus a charging station for their devices.
