Along this same thread, I usually send a couple of amaryllis gifts each year and have used both white flower farm and Jackson and Perkins. WFF is more expensive but I wonder if the plants are worth it? Anyone have knowledge?

If you have a local floral designer or shop you trust, go there and look for artificial and real greenery and wreaths. I just bought a small one to hang on a suction cup that absolutely looks like real cedar for $19. The owners/designers did a demo at our Garden group the other day on decorating styles for the holidays. They sold us many of the props they used. They have live stuff at their shop.

I have ordered a live wreath in the past from LL Bean and also bought them from a cut your own tree farm. They usually make them from tree trimmings.

I bought wreaths from LLBean last year and they were great, but I found a better price and free shipping during QVC's Christmas in July event. I was nervous because their wreaths get very mixed reviews, but one of the recipients has received hers and she said it is beautiful and even nicer than the LLBean wreath that I gave her last year.

I've really wanted to try the fresh garland with the tartan ribbon from Williams-Sonoma, but I've never seen any reviews. Has anyone ordered them? I think they were a new item last year.

In the food category, I ordered jellies from This Etsy shop and they were delicious and so pretty. I'll order from them again in the future.

I like Bouqs a lot, and Farmgirl flowers. One thing I like about Bouqs is they make small bouquets that are lovely. For people in nursing homes -- or really anyone elderly, a big vase of something is ungainly. Free shipping if you create an account.

Gift card to a local flower farm near them!! Supports local growers. Iris Floral Farm is a good one in Colorado, but they’re in every state!

Bouqs is better than farm girl. Bouqs at least sources sustainably... farm girl does what I call “farm washing.” Their name sounds like they source from farmers but they’re all from south America and have a huge eco footprint. Local flower farmers will have a much more unique variety.

OMG - Bouqs selection is outstanding, just so very lovely! Thanks so much for this recommendation. I love to give flowers to certain people, and these arrangements are unique and beautiful. Hopefully better than our local florist - a birthday bouquet wilted within three days of my receiving it. I was stunned!
