We are building a vacation home near the beach in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.We are at the stage that we need to choose paint colors.The "vision" I had in my head going into this was to paint the main areas a light to medium silvery grey with crisp white woodwork.Our main home is a 100 yr old home in CT has oak woodwork & trim that I don't particularly love, but can't bring myself to paint over, so I want something more modern/clean looking in the new house.My dilemma comes in with the tiles we ended up with.I wanted a modern grey tile throughout the house.As we found on our recent trip,nice grey tiles at a reasonable price are nonexistent in PR.$10 sq/ft for 2,500 sq ft house was not in the budget.So we ended up with a cream/beige/brown tile (pics attached)My question is-can I still go w/ a grey wall color like I had my heart set on or do I need to go w/a beige/Greige color.Any advice, even ideas for more out of the box choices would be appreciated.
