    Thank you for your question, the bottom is open, it is more easy to install the lamp, and IP65 waterproof listed for outdoor lighting.

    How do you change the mode to AUTO? I cannot find anythin on the Black Outdoor Wall Sconce with Motion Sensor light I just purchased.
