Dave..I figured all of your hosta weren't in the west side pic..but there were so many that I was curious!..so how many varieties?..I'm sure that's a big number too!..my naked cold (24°F) backyard just now..June is mushy but still has some faded green..

lindalana it is Powder Keg. I meant to divide out the reverting portion last year which is Powder Blue. They are both great but I have PB in another area and want to save Powder Keg this year before the reversion gets any stronger.

For a moment in time I felt it was spring! Thanks for all the beautiful pictures everyone! I wish the view from my kitchen window was like yours Tiddisolo. Sunnywood, you have a lot of hostas in your garden, and they are looking great in September. I see a lot of trees too. I have to wonder what kinds of trees you have near the beds. My sugar maples don't allow me to grow hosta to their full potential. Saija, thanks for sharing your video. Your garden looks so neat and the hostas are looking so happy.

I still haven't sorted all my hosta photos of 2019 unfortunately.

Newhostalady. Mostly white ash, oak,white pine and a few sugar maples. The maples can be a problem. Mostly put seedlings near them and then move them when they are about two years old. I forgot ,one large American Elm!

That's great Sunnywood that you have a lot of good trees that you can garden under. You are wise to move your hostas and seedlings away from the Sugar Maple trees after a short period of time growing under them.

I’m enjoying all these photos on this cold day! I’m still lamenting the fact my garden was pummeled by hail on May 28 this year, maybe I’ll have some nice pictures this coming season.

Sorting through pics getting ready for the hosta alphabet, and I found a nice group shot from above. Currently under a white blanket of snow, but it's nice to remember all the hostas sleeping on my southwest hillside.

That pic could be called dandy slopes.
