the pendant light distance

can you please tell me the distance between the island and bulb or shade, my ceiling is too low would that not look good if its not as long hanging?

Hello, Typically an island light source should hang around 36" from the surface of the island. Most lights of this type come with several stems in order to accommodate this. A shorter stem from ceiling to light source would not detract from the look of the light. I believe this is a ten foot ceiling. Most ceilings are from 8 - 10 feet.
